Shiv Narayan
I'm Shiv Narayan, a commerce graduate from Ramjas College, University of Delhi (2024), currently based in Delhi. My background is in digital design, content, and — increasingly — data analytics, but photography has been a constant thread through all of it, going back to when I first picked up a camera at ten.
That started on weekend birding trips to Okhla Bird Sanctuary and family road trips to Bharatpur, guided by my father, T. Narayan, a contributing photographer at Bloomberg Media. It runs further back too — my late grandfather, Shri N. Thiagarajan, was a senior photographer at The Hindustan Times, covering events including the Bangladesh War and the Emergency.
Photography
At Delhi Public School, Noida, I was Vice President of the Photography Society and began competing nationally, winning 1st Prize at the Canon-sponsored Digex Award (among 93 schools) and at Landmark, among other placements. At Ramjas College, I earned All India Rank 2 in DU ECA (Photography) in 2021 and was a member of Focus, the college photography society. It's stayed a genuine passion rather than a profession — but one that's shaped how I look at composition, light, and story in everything else I do.
Enactus & Community
Alongside that, I was part of Enactus at Ramjas, a student social-entrepreneurship society, contributing to projects in women's empowerment, transgender-community advocacy, and public health outreach — including Project Swabun, a top-five finalist at the Enactus World Cup's Race for Climate Action.
Professional Experience
Professionally, I worked as a Digital Design & Content Creator for Massachusetts Baptist Multicultural Ministries (MBMM) and the ACE Center for New Americans in the US (Jun 2024–Dec 2025), designing event materials, managing organizational websites, and building content that grew community engagement by thousands. Before that, I interned in operations at TravClan.
I'm currently completing Google's Data Analytics and Google AI Professional Certificates on Coursera, and applying what I'm learning to CiviQuest, a civic-education quiz app I'm building end-to-end using Next.js, Cursor, and Claude.
